RaCERS faculty on the Road

RaCERS faculty are in frequent demand for lectures and instruction. RaCERS Executive Committee and Associate Professor Glenn Corbett presented on “Smoke Control Systems” operation by the fire service at the Fire Safety Directors Association of Greater New York’s 33rd Annual Research Symposium held in Brooklyn in October. Corbett shared the dais with Frank Leeb, Chief of the FDNY Academy, who spoke on challenges of complex buildings; and Battalion Chiefs Simon Ressner and Stephan Spall of FDNY, both of whom serve as structural engineers for New York Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1. They spoke on rapid diagnosis of structural safety following vehicle collision and partial collapse.
