RaCERS faculty Dr. Lucia Velotti, completed fieldwork for her National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded project to develop performance measurement systems for spontaneous volunteers in post-disaster relief. Prof. Velotti, aided by two student research assistants, traveled to North Carolina where she and her team served as participant-observers to collect data from volunteers active in recovery from Hurricane Florence. Prof. Velotti’s grant was developed in partnership with North Carolina State University.
