RaCERS faculty speak at Fire Safety Seminar sponsored by John Jay’s Center for Private Security and Safety

John Jay College’s Center for Private Security and Safety held a day-long training event on fire safety featuring RaCERS and College faculty.  The Program was directed at security professionals and featured attendance form major contractors, property managers, and institutional security representatives.

The program provided executive-level briefings on contemporary fire safety issues and topics and featured findings of RaCERS research projects with information on situation awareness, emerging threats, codes and standards, and incident management.

Speakers were (Left to Right) Charles Jennings, RaCERS Director; Paul Kearns, Department of Security, Fire, and Emergency Management; Glenn Corbett, RaCERS Executive Committee and the Department of Public Management; and Jack Murphy of the Fire Safety Directors Association of Greater New York and an adjunct faculty in the Department of Security, Fire, and Emergency Management.  Not pictured was Richard Cardile, P.E. of Risk Logic, providing an overview of the role of fire protection in property loss prevention.   The event was hosted by the Center for Private Security and Safety’s Director Anthony Gentile.
