National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL): DHS Labs and First Responder Technology

About This Event

Please welcome Dr. Adam Hutter, Director of the US Department of Homeland Security’s National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL). Located in Manhattan, NUSTL serves first responders in the Tri-State region and beyond. Its relationships with the region’s homeland security community have allowed the New York metropolitan area to be used as an urban test bed for the diverse technologies and systems being developed to prepare and protect our nation. NUSTL pilots, demonstrates, and evaluates technologies in parnership with first responders. The lab is part of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate’s First Responders Group.


Dr. Hutter will describe teh lab, its capabilities, and highlight several technologies advanced by the lab.
