RaCERS Faculty Charles Jennings will participate in a panel refining measures of health security in Washington, DC. The panel, part of the National Health Security Preparedness Index, NHSPI.org.
The Index is designed to measure preparedness of States and areas across several domains, including 1) Health Security Surveillance, 2) Community Engagement and Planning; 3) Incident and Information Management, 4) Healthcare delivery, 5) Countermeasure management, and 6) Environmental and Occupational Health. The index is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Originally developed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, responsibility for the Index transferred to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in January 2015, with the Program Management Office Personnel Office located at the University of Kentucky.
