2010 RaCERS Director appointed to steering committee of DHS-funded study RaCERS Center Director Charles Jennings was appointed to a steering committee of a DHS-funded gap analysis of software programs for developing situation awareness. The Common Operating Picture (COP) software assessment, which was led by the Applied Science Foundation for Homeland Security [www.asfhs.org] in Bethpage, NY, included site visits to evaluate programs in use around the US, and interact with emergency responder stakeholders.
