The agenda, developed by a host of fire service organizations, serves to guide the US Fire Administration’s FIRE Act grant program priorities.
The report identified three major domains for research recommendations:
Domain 1: Hiring/Retention/Advancement
Domain 2: Effective Operations
Domain 3: Health and Safety
A total of 30 topics within these domains were developed by panels of fire service, academic, industry, and association representatives in meetings held in March-April 2021. Jennings served as a Juror, assisting in evaluation of proposed research areas.
