RaCERS Advisory Board Member Maniscalco co-authors article on “Ethics of PPE and EMS”
RaCERS Advisory Board Member Paul Maniscalco, President Emertitus of the International Association of EMS Chiefs (IAEMSC) , has co-authored an article addressing the chronic shortages of personal protective equipment for EMS workers in the face of COVID-19.
Among their recommendations are the need for consultation between EMS Medical Directors and the EMS front-line workforce, and the need for development of “EMS focused ethical framework to guide decision making and improve preparedness in anticipation of future pandemics.”
