Battalion Chief Neil Hintze is a thirty-three year veteran with the FDNY; he is currently working on the pilot testing of the ECB by four battalions and two division commands in the FDNY. Developed in partnership with Raytheon, the Electronic Command Board promises to revolutionize scene accountability and transform of incident management. In his talk, Chief Hintze explained the process of developing the concept of operations for networked incident management and design and adoption of the electronic command board, which promises to transform incident management and accountability. He also described the function and capabilities of the command board and their significant improvement to situational awareness of operations, overall response coordination, and communication of any type during an emergency.
