CENTER DIRECTOR ATTENDS INERNATIONAL STANDARDS ORGANIZATION WORKSHOP on WOOD IN TALL BUILDING STRUCTURAL DESIGN

RaCERS Director Charles Jennings attended the International Standards Organization (ISO) Technical Committee 92/SC Working Group in Surrey, BC, Canada. The highlight of the meeting was a workshop on the use of wood in structural systems for tall and high-rise buildings.

Topics addressed include fire testing, risk analysis, and new standards for approving cross-laminated timber (CLT) products being proposed for the International Building Code (used in the United States). Presentations came from Canada, the US, Australia, France, and other nations.
